Against the grain

I find myself in the grips of technological innovation and I'm resisting every urge to give into her demonic ways. I have yet to create a Facebook or Twitter account. I find going against the grain of normalcy much more appealing. I watch an hour or two of TV a week and am only on the computer via school or Internet shopping. I enjoy spending money, especially on myself. As far as class goes, I started this semester burnt out on writing and was dreading this course. I'm grateful to have an instructor that makes learning fun as well as a class full of lively characters. Class thus far has been great. I've felt overwhelmed at times and lost on a few occasions, but the knowledge and understanding that I've gained on myself and on writing out weighs all of the negative aspects. The guest speakers and the assignments with one another keep my attention focused have made learning fun.
